The Upstairs has a stunning arch window that looks out across the Collingwood landscape. It’s one of the most photo-worthy ceremony spaces in Melbourne and can easily transform into the most decadent private dining room.
Venture Downstairs to the quaint cocktail space where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly and mingle with your loved ones. Paired with an outdoor courtyard lit by soft fairy lights, this is the perfect spot for a quiet moment.
The chapel also offers a grand piano, fireplace, two sitting rooms, a bar space, kitchen and a private couples change room. A small courtyard on the premises away from food service is also conveniently available.
Designed in Gothic Revival style, the original building combines exposed brick walls with a stunning timber ceiling handcrafted by 19th century shipbuilders. Large arched windows fill the interior with light, while intricately painted murals and chandeliers add the finishing touches.
Whilst this is a more intimate venue, there is still space for guests to sit for a formal reception. Cocktail style also works well at Chapel 1885 and is a fab alternative!
With its exposed beam arched ceilings, stunning arched window to a French balcony, and exposed brick walls, the limit to the amount of snaps this place offers does not exist.
With thoughtful design touches, highlighting and celebrating the rich history of the building. Chapel 1885 is a space for creating lasting memories.
